Who we are

The  eco company was founded by Michael Eberlein under the name Eberlein & CO in 1938 in Nuremberg, and at that time produced items for shops.

In 1966 the manufacturing of items for shops, game packaging and blister packaging commenced using the method of thermoforming.

A continuous expansion of production with increasingly sophisticated items followed, such as knight’s castles, base plates for model railways with Zerrdruck (printing process involving the transfer of an image from a cliché onto a silicone rubber-based modelling mass) and sandboxes.

In 1977, the idea came for the production of roof boxes - the Jetbag brand was born. The company continued to develop further over the years and constantly opened up new markets.

Since 2002, eco, under new ownership at Goldschmidtstraße 8 in Neumarkt, only concentrates on its core competence - the thermoforming of technical products customised for individual customers.

eco Kunststoff has been the specialist for plastic deep drawing for many decades, and is today one of the leading providers of packaging for internal and external transport in Europe.

As a modern thermoformer with a broad product portfolio, eco processes all of the usual plastics in thicknesses from 0.25 to 12 mm and in sizes up to 2,400 x 1,400 mm from rolls and plates.
